THE
NEW COLOR OF MONEY-
The most secure currency in U.S. history was introduced into the economy
on October 9th, 2003, as a newly redesigned, colorful $20 bill was issued
by the Federal Reserve System. A new $50 note was issued on September
28, 2004. On March 2, 2006, the Federal Reserve banks issued a redesigned
Series 2004 $10 note to the public through commercial banks. The new
notes are safer, smarter and more secure: safer because theyre
harder to fake and easier to check; smarter to stay ahead of tech-savy
counterfeiters; more secure to protect the integrity of U.S. currency.
